I have been a big fan of room diffusers for ages now. I’ve tested tons of them over the years, some good, some not so good and occasionally some that are really great. My favorite brand has to be Dr Vrangies. Although at the top of the price scale they are well worth the money as they outlast every other one I’ve ever had. The Rose scented one I have in my living room has been going for 6 months now. I don’t turn the reeds over too often as I don’t want it to ever run out.
It will come as no surprise to you that when I was approached by the lovely Senti, a gorgeous boutique shop in Wimbledon (and the only UK distributor of Dr V products I might add), to style their new shots I jumped at the chance.
The shoot took place in a gorgeous Wimbledon house with photographer Patrick Steel. The products just smelt divine. Some of them I had already tested, others I hadn’t. I’m drawn to quite floral or musky fragrances but the sweet smell of the Melograno, which is pomegranate was so delicious and fruity. I was lucky enough to take this one home after the shoot and my car had never smelt so good. It’s now in my cloakroom but if the door gets left ajar -even the tiniest little bit, you can smell it from the moment you walk through the front door.
I have to admit that when I first went to the shop to select props for the shoot and to smell the scents I was really excited to see the HUGE bottles that they now do. I’ve only ever seen the 250ml bottles, but they also do 500ml and a whopping 2.5litre. These very large bottles are made for hotels and extra-large hallways but wow, I completely fell in love with them. They’re too big for my little end of terrace but I could instantly imagine where I would put the empty bottle on display with just a few sprigs.
